Experience from inside the justice system, in service of my clients
I am Aref Mohammed Obaid Bushaqar, an advocate and legal consultant in the United Arab Emirates. I was a founding member of the Dubai Public Prosecution, then served as a judge at the Dubai Courts, before returning to Dubai Police, from which I retired with the rank of Brigadier.
Through my work I aim to provide professional legal services built on precision, credibility and integrity, protecting my clients’ rights and interests in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
I lead the work of Aref Bushaqar Advocates & Legal Consultants in Dubai: following cases and disputes, giving legal advice, drafting and reviewing contracts and legal memoranda, and analysing disputes to reach the right solution amicably before going to court.
I believe the legal profession is not only about resolving disputes, but also about preventing them, raising legal awareness, building professional relationships based on trust and transparency, and offering practical solutions that serve clients’ interests and achieve the best possible results within the law.

This career has given me wide experience of police procedure, investigations, public prosecution and judicial procedure, alongside advocacy, case management, legal memoranda, contract drafting and legal advice for individuals and companies.
